A great meal to make with your little monsters to share in the spooky fun!
Okay kids, Vegan VVitch here, this is your very own recipe to make some spookily delicious Monster Burgers for Halloween.
For this recipe you are going to need an adult to help cook your burgers as we must be careful as to not burn our witchy fingers, so ask your adult to be on standby.
Ingredients
Burger
4 x Plant based burgers
4 x Vegan cheeze slice (we use Aldi)
4 x Burger buns (War-boo-tons are delicious)
4 x Long sliced pickle
Shredded lettuce
Monster burger sauce
3 tbsp vegan mayo
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp pickle juice from the jar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Decoration
2 cocktail sticks
Cucumber, one thick slice cut in half - or -
2 cherry tomatoes
Method
Ask your adult to cut your burger buns in half and cook your plant based burger patties
Whilst your adult is cooking the patties, mix all of the Monster Burger sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
Spread the burger sauce onto each half of your burger bun
Using scissors cut some triangles out of one edge of your cheeze slice to make teeth, be creative an make your monster have crazy teeth!
Once your burgers are cooked leave the to cool slightly whilst you assemble your burger monster creation.
Place a handful of shredded lettuce on the bottom burger bun
Put your burger patty ontop of the lettuce
Add the long pickle gherkin slice so that it pokes out like a tongue
Put your cheeze slice ontop with the teeth poking out over the pickle tongue
Put your top bun on your burger
Carefully pierce your cucumber or tomato with your cocktail stick
Put your cucumber/tomato eye onto your burger bun using the other end of the cocktail stick
Stand back and shout "IT'S ALIIIIIIVE"
These burgers are a hit every Halloween and my boys absolutely love stirring up their own monster magic with them and I hope you do too!
